       Our Services

At Carol A Sketchley Solicitor we offer a number of products and service levels dependent on your needs. House calls and out of hours appointments are commonplace. We provide a family orientated service, giving advice in an easy to understand manner and a relaxed atmosphere. - a legal practice with a difference we hope.

To start with we are fully qualified solicitors and are regulated by the Solicitors Regulatory Authority. Carol Sketchley qualified as a solicitor in 1985,after 4 years training to degree level and beyond. She became a member of the Law Society in the same year. She has a wealth of experience and will advise you on all aspects of your new Will, including Inheritance Tax planning where appropriate. Your main point of contact throughout will be Carol and she will personally ensure that your Will is correctly drafted and executed within an appropriate timescale. This will of course vary dependent on your needs. Wills can be finalised within a few hours in cases of emergency.

We always suggest that you also consider making a Power of Attorney to ensure that your affairs can be managed in the event that you are no longer able to do so. In some cases where it has been left too late the only option is to take Court of Protection Proceedings - this is an expensive and long winded process and should be avoided wherever possible.

When the day comes when you pass away we can help ease the burden on those left behind by advising on the procedure to be adopted or where necessary by dealing with your estate in total. We are happy to do as little or as much as is required. We will act as executor, arrange for the funeral and house clearance, sell property and account to the beneficiaries...nothing is too much trouble and we regularly achieve the impossible (exporting the family parrot to France springs to mind!)

Where a Will has not been made we can obtain a Grant of Letters of Administration to ensure the speedy distribution of assets to the next of kin. Obviously leaving a Will is the better option, especially if there are members of the family you may wish to exclude!

Please call us to discuss your requirements - there is no obligation and the first call is free 01926 484488 or in cases of emergency 07802 305901.
